Teaching Associates for CBE Courses

The CBE is hiring Teaching Associates for the following courses that will be offered during Spring 2023 semester.

  1. BUS 110 Applied Statistics (two positions for four sections)
  2. BUS 145 Introduction to Financial Accounting (two positions for four sections)
  3. ECON 121 Principles of Microeconomics (two positions for four sections)
  4. BUS 209 Business Mathematics (four positions for four sections)
  5. BUS 211 Introduction to Innovation and Entrepreneurship (one position for two sections)
  6. BUS 245 Intermediate Financial Accounting, BUS 226 Money, Banking and Financial Institutions (one position for two courses)
  7. ECON 224 Introduction to Econometrics, BUS 288 Business Analytics (one position for two courses, three groups in total)
  8. MGMT 281 Operations Management, BUS 210 Introduction to International Business Management, BUS 385 Project Management (one position for three courses)
  9. ECON 222 Intermediate Macroeconomics, ECON 228 Economics of Development (one position for two courses)



  • Assisting the instructor to organize the course as well as during class meeting with handouts, group assignments, audio visuals, other materials;
  • Conducting help sessions with the students;
  • Marking/scoring the assignments;
  • Providing tutoring and other instructional assistance;
  • Holding joint or independent office hours to review assignments, provide feedback on already marked and graded assignments;
  • Handling course logistics, e.g. posting to Moodle, including posting of grades;
  • Proctoring exams.



  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional/disciplinary experience; master’s degree preferred (undergraduate students are not eligible);
  • Excellent knowledge of the disciplinary content;
  • Fluency in English, excellent communication and organizational skills;
  • Good computer skills;
  • Self-initiative, attentive to detail, with strong ability to multi-task.
