Student Recruitment Coordinator, Political Science and International Affairs (PSIA)

 

Contract type:  PT (5 days/15 hours per week)

Job Duties

  1. Development of a strategic plan for each recruitment year with concrete actions, actors and measures to be undertaken;
  2. Evaluation of the previous year’s strategic plan by stressing lessons learned and successes to be used for the upcoming year;
  3. Organization of recruitment events besides the Open Houses;
  4. Updating and initiation of new recruitment tools for each recruitment cycle (live quiz, prizes, etc.); 
  5. Developing and conducting surveys after each recruitment event;
  6. Conducting regular meetings with AUA Student Council members and MPSIA current students for finding channels for information dissemination about the MPSIA opportunities;
  7. Analysis of the MPSIA recruitment events for finding the correlation between the events and actually admitted students after each recruitment cycle;
  8. Regular research for the recruitment updates for implementing them in the MPSIA recruitment strategy both for local and international applicants;
  9. Development of a database of participants after each recruitment event for sending them information about the upcoming events;
  10. Keeping close contact with the denied applicants after each recruitment cycle for motivating them to improve their applications and re-apply;
  11. Maintaining MPSIA Facebook and Twitter pages with recruitment and admissions related posts, preparation of social media ads for the program promotion;
  12. Development of video content for program promotion in close cooperation with the Communications office and MPSIA students
  13. Organization of the New Student Orientation Sessions for each academic year for newly admitted students;
  14. Assisting the Program Chair with the admission applications, in particular interview appointments, contact with the applicants, drafting of the recommendations, rubrics, filling in the admission documents with the corresponding recommendations, revision of the admissions procedure;
  15. Contact with MPSIA alumni for their participation in recruitment events and any related information dissemination and program promotion event;
  16. Regular analysis of MPSIA alumni employment, at least twice a year to be used for the recruitment events;
  17. Performing other tasks assigned by the Program Chair.

 

Skills & Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in a related field;
  • 2-4 years of experience (preferably in an education sphere);
  • Strong written/oral communication skills in English and Armenian;
  • Excellent computer skills (including spreadsheets and presentation software);
  • Experience in an educational environment a plus;
