Workshop on “Closing Gender Gaps Through Economics Research”

The Manoogian Simone College of Business and Economics at American University of Armenia (AUA) and Stockholm Institute of Transition Economics (SITE) are pleased to invite scholars to the Paper Development Workshop on “Closing Gender Gaps Through Economics Research” on June 3 and 4. The workshop will take place at AUA and is part of the project funded by Swedish Institute Eastern Partnership Cooperation Project.

By connecting Armenian and international scholars in gender economics, this Workshop aims to improve the Armenian scholars’ knowledge of cutting-edge research methods to study gender inequalities and evaluate policies, and will provide opportunities for improving their scholarly papers.

Dr. Lidia Farre, Tenured Scientist at the Institute for Economic Analysis (IAE-CSIC) and Affiliated Professor at the Barcelona School of Economics, Spain and Dr. Sarah Smith, Professor of Economics at University of Bristol, United Kingdom will lead the Workshop and inspire participants. They will deliver keynote speeches, plenary sessions, and engage in discussions on presented papers.

Interested Scholars are invited to submit Papers or Abstracts by the Extended Deadline May 15, 2025, to [email protected].

Please refer to the attached call for papers, the submission process, and further information on the workshop.
