Project Assistant, AUA Acopian Center for the Environment (ACE)

 

Project name: Copernicus assisted environmental monitoring across the Black Sea Basin (PONTOS)

Job Duties: 

  1. Assist the project manager to coordinate foreseen activities of the project, to ensure timely and qualitative delivery of the expected outcomes and deliverables;
  2. Assist in organizing of the Project Coordination Meetings and Final Conference;
  3. Participate in the meetings with Black Sea Programme Management Authorities, if necessary;
  4. Assist in elaboration of Action Plans that will be delivered to the CB Partnership at the start of each reporting period;
  5. Assist in elaboration of periodic Progress Reports, each one covering a 4 month implementation period;
  6. Help to disseminate the promotional materials to increase awareness in the broad public about the project;
  7. Assist in editing the Newsletters and it’s dissemination among the target users ;
  8. Help to elaborate the Project Public Report to inform decision-makers and non-technical parties of the project objectives and results;
  9. Ensure that the project adheres to the its framework and all documentation is maintained appropriately ;
  10. Regularly update the project website and databases;
  11. Translate, edit and proofread project materials;
  12. Make bookings, travel arrangements, and general logistical arrangements for the PONTOS Project and all the events;
  13. Perform other tasks assigned by supervisor.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • University degree in business administration or social sciences;
  • Previous experience with project coordination/administration;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and multitasking skills; 
  • Basic knowledge of finance/accounting will be a plus;
  • Attention to detail and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment;
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint as a minimum) and G Suite (Google apps); 
  • Excellent knowledge of Armenian and English languages.
