The Political Science and International Affairs Program (PSIA) at the American University of Armenia (AUA) will launch a new bachelor’s degree program in Politics and Governance in Fall 2021. Over the next few years, the AUA plans to redesign its MPSIA into two new graduate programs, a MA in International Relations and Diplomacy and a Master of Public Policy and Administration.
As part of that expansion, the PSIA invites applicants for full-time faculty positions in the fields of public policy, public administration, political economy and/or political sociology at the rank of assistant or associate professor beginning in August 2021. Adjunct professors from AUA may also apply.

Qualifications: Successful candidates must hold a PhD (completed on or before August 2021) in political science or a related field and be able to teach undergraduate and graduate core and elective courses in public policy, public policy analysis, public administration, political economy, political sociology, or related fields. Applicants with strong skills in research methods as well as service in government and or/or international organizations may be considered an advantage.
Successful candidates must have a distinguished and active record of research, publication, and teaching and a deep commitment to excellence and innovation. Experience in conducting academic duties in an international setting or teaching non-native English speakers will also be an advantage.
Faculty positions at AUA typically involve teaching three courses (graduate and/or undergraduate) per semester, pursuing research activities, and engaging in program development and university service.
Compensation: Compensation is commensurate with university-wide pay scale, qualifications and experience. AUA offers competitive benefits packages.
