End User Support/IT Specialist

Job Duties

- Troubleshoots university printers.

- Replaces cartridges on printers and sends them for toner refill.

- Installs new electronic equipment.

- Transfers computers to new places and connects them to power supply and network.

- Lays and fastens network cables.

- Services AUA events.

- Provides technical support of security system

- Provides technical support of  Students ID Card system

- Performs hardware and software troubleshooting

- To assist in problem investigation and recovery

- To support and maintain full functionality of equipment and applications that comprises the environment.

- Identification of service improvements, and evidence of benefits and progress.

- Performs other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

 

Skills, Knowledge, Abilities

- Excellent knowledge of IT hardware, software, operations and networks.

- In-depth understanding of service management techniques.

- Good communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective working relationships

- High level of technical expertise along with the ability to react rapidly and effectively to change. This knowledge will be both specific to the technology supported and the infrastructure to which it interfaces.

- Strong analytical skills to enable complex problems to be understood and resolved.

- Education needed: University degree (preferably in a computer science)

- Work experience: 1-2 years
