AUA for Syrian Armenians

[cycloneslider id=”6873″]

As the situation in Syria continues to decline, the American University of Armenia (AUA) is in a unique position to provide assistance to Syrian-Armenian refugees who have fled their country to resettle in Armenia.

Through this assistance program, Syrian Armenians are eligible to take up to two courses free of charge in the AUA Extension program. These courses are a valuable resource to participants, as they provide crucial skills for professional development and English language training that may serve as a stepping stone into AUA’s graduate and undergraduate degree programs. Over 500 Syrian Armenians have already enrolled in courses free of charge, of which many are now studying in AUA’s degree programs.

Due to the unprecedented popularity of this program—with our waitlist of over 100 Syrian Armenians growing every week—we have a very clear picture of the needs of the displaced Syrian-Armenian population. We therefore find ourselves in a difficult position—we have the curriculum, staff, and infrastructure to provide valuable educational tools to refugees, but we lack the financial resources to deliver them.

It is with this in mind that we ask you to consider making a donation to the AUA for Syrian Armenians campaign. Your donation—of any amount—will help us to provide valuable support to Syrian-Armenian refugees.

We are ready to help. But first, we need your help.
